Position: Sales Manager / Sr. Sales Manager

Job Location: PAN India

Experience Required: 4-7 years

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize sales opportunities within government agencies, and other institutional clients.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, including procurement officers, department heads, and administrators.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to tailor solutions to client requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Respond to tender documents, proposals, reports and supporting literature
  • Manage workload in order to organize and priorities daily and weekly goals
  • Contribute to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
  • Maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software systems
  • Develop effective sales plans using sales methodology
  • Provide technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale
  • Meet sales targets set by management and contribute to team targets

Skills Required

  • Proven track record of success in government sales, institutional sales, or B2B sales, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
  • A good level of technical understanding, with enthusiasm for new technology and its commercial uses – though having technical skills before you start isn’t essential
  • Self-motivation and a competitive, results-driven attitude, passion, dedication and focus
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
