The basic functions of all Firs Alarms Systems include Detection of Fire, Notifying Occupants, Lit up annunciators. Modern systems are also incorporated with remote signaling equipment which would alert the fire brigade via a central station. However, the difference between the two can be explained as follows:
Conventional Fire Alarm Systems
A number of call points or a number of call points and detectors are wired to the Fire Alarm Control Panel in Zones. A Zone is a circuit and typically one would wire a circuit per floor or fire compartment. Conventional systems could be little cheaper than their counterparts.
